Part 2... The Noise Outside...

What a beautiful morning, what a beautiful man. She spent many an AM in this position, and as the world spun around them they were at rest. Silence and stillness was a rarity when she was with him, and to see him now unaware of his vulnerability, uncaring of his status and unafraid of their closeness was a sight to behold. She had awoken this morning with her face tucked into his chest and his arm folding her into him. The sun must have been shining on them for hours as their sticky skin held them together as one mass of flesh and fascination. She looked up her man and with disbelief she thought of how luck had also shone on her the day they had met.  Some people speak of life and love as a painful struggle between self-indulgence and self-sacrifice, but they had never met him. It was as easy to love him as it was to breath and without thought, reservation or sense she loved him. She loved him so much. To her, love was black and white and it was as simple and as foolish as that.

He looked so peaceful when he slept, and as his chest rose and sunk under her face she could almost see him exhaling every complexity from which he had build his life upon. There was no doubt he was damaged, but she had put her heart on his scars and although they were gouged deeper than she could ever see her warming love had healed his surface. She would never understand him and this was clear from the day they had met, but she understood what he needed. Stability, security and a safety net; the only three things he was incapable of providing for himself.  He was far too reckless to know when to stop or even recognize where it started and the blurring speeds at which he moved were alien to her, she could never understand him but she embraced him all the same.

Her eyes lowered now, past his beautifully tattooed chest, over his muscular shoulder and out of the window. She sighed deeply, because she knew that out there people stood with their accusations and judgments. Outside these four walls of calm, she would have to brace herself for war. A war of overly opinionated people who try to tear down these very walls that she had invested time and effort to build whilst carrying him all the way. But in her heart she knew that none of it was true and so she would caste her dignity to the side and defend him until the end. She held him high with one hand and kept down all the nonbelievers with the other, pushing them with a force so strong and cutting they never came back. Friends, colleagues even her own sister had tried to convince her otherwise with their stories of his pretense… why didn’t they get it? She would never listen because she preferred the silence.

As the morning drew on and the sun continued to rise, she delighted in their serenity. She wrapped her legs around his and snuggled into his neck embracing him once again. His flaws flew out of the window and although every now and then she would gaze past him to the world outside, she never stared for too long. The noise was deafening out there…. He began to stir and rolled over to face her. His large frame now blocked out the sun and the window; she refused to look through him for fear of what she might see. Instead, she closed her eyes and turned over too, they really did make the perfect spoon! Once again, all sound was in the distance and as he pulled her backwards towards him she knew that he would always protect her from them, just as she would always protect him from himself. Once again, silence. They lay like this for as long as they could, until their silence was disturbed by the ringing of a phone. His phone. In the pocket of his jeans that were strew on the floor his phone was vibrating violently… His eyes tore open - he knew it was her.

Part 1... He's Dreaming of Fire...

He has nothing to say, there was never anything to say. It was a flickering flame that was lit by fate and would be blown out by that same bitterly fateful gust of reality.  Storming home he laughs to himself as the realization hits him that it was all in his head. He grasped onto nothing, a thought that manifested into a feeling and manipulated the shreds of moral judgment he had left. It was all in his head, all of it. Its funny the way we psychologically construct these situations to fill in the gaps, but he knows better than anyone that they will eventually fall through and the same soul bearing holes remain, with the spot light of guilt and regret shining through each of them in a blinding ray. There’s no way to avoid it, he’s been a mug - replaying situations and finding lost comfort in the idea of her, but its just an idea, an ideal. In reality, she is far from that but more of a distraction from the aching lack of satisfaction that is numbed by nights he spends in the arms of his adoring girlfriend.

His girl is really great, but what’s great if he can’t relate? The shadows of his past cause his eyes to wandering as he creeps home back to her once again by the light of the moon. Step after sordid step along the same road they’ve walked down together time after time, hand in hand. She’ll probably be asleep when he gets back, she always is – tucked away from his touch she’s safe. As he peels back the duvet and slides gently next to her, his skin is still frozen from the bitter winds outside but her warmth engulfs him completely. She is always warm and he loves this about her, but after a while warm just doesn’t do it for him; familiarity kills passion. He wants fire and as the testosterone and narcotics pumped through his veins tonight, eventually finding and polluting his heart, her warmth was distant and dull to him. He had all the heat he could handle as many times as he wanted, but fire can melt a heart of ice, or burn pride to the ground. In his case both, she was under his skin now and as he pulled his girlfriend towards him with her tiny hand resting on his chest, his heart below was still thumping for someone else.

And there they are again, those soul holes allowing spotlights to shine right through him. How can he avoid them? They dissect the very core of his being from guilt to confusion, every hole, another mistake, another uncertain moment. On nights like tonight, he’ll hold his beautiful girl as close as he can and keep plugging those holes that reveal the truth. But sooner or later they reappear bigger and more soul scathing then before. So as he drifts asleep with her but without her, the distasteful winds of reality blow straight through him. All these distorted emotions have caused a draught with a breeze so sharp that it hurts against the edges of the very holes that make him who he is, or rather who he’s not. With a chaotic dispersion of innate affection and utter selfishness, his eyes slowly close. The bullets of regret rain down around their bed landing upon his tired heart and mischievous mind and with a final sigh of exhaustion he’s once again dreaming… dreaming of fire.

Back To The Future...

It has been a while, but I thought I would step outside the vortex of doom formally known as revision to share this little ray of sunshine with you all! Everyone loves old photos, whether they take you back to a place where your cares were once scrawled in Crayola or you are just plain nosey, old photos capture moments that have passed us by unknowingly. Rolling around in the mud, butt naked, aware that you are being snapped and with a look so cheeky you might as well be screaming GIVE A SHIT! What I would give to time warp it back there especially when right now the only place I am rolling up to is the library, fully clothed and fronted by face jaded with the realisation that now I actually have to give a shit. But, you can never go back in life, only forward so I guess it is worth filling those cold blank pages with informed knowledge, so those blank stares can melt into relieved smiles. It will all be over soon! Until then, I will leave you with this snippet of creativity. Argentinian photographer Irina Werning shares my love for old photographs, but instead of just staring at them adoringly she has dedicated the last year of her work to people who wish to  reenact photo's that take them back to their very own naked patch of mud! She is extremely talented. The whole concept is somewhat revolutionary as she manages to escape the passage of time and relieve feelings trapped in moments of the past. If this can give me seconds of reflection between the bellowing pillars of political philosophy swelling around me, then I am sure it can make you crack a smile too! Enjoy! x

Vivienne Westwood Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

Vivienne Westwood’s unparalleled ability to wow was in full swing at LFW A/W”11 with a collection that did not fail to continue her legacy of wild and wacky fashion. Think Alice in Wonderland falls down the rabbit hole and lands bang smack on a busy London road where everything has been twisted into a beautifully backwards ensemble. Overstated make up was smudged onto the models faces and multi coloured hair sprouted from every angle imaginable under wonky trilbies and ballooned crown hats.
As the equally eccentric audience including the likes of  Paloma Faith and Boy George gazed on with admiration for this bent fairytale, the somewhat clichéd boyfriend cardigan was revolutionized as-if by magic in front of our eyes. Westwood coupled this overplayed look with brilliantly tartan and kilt skirts that provided a breath of fresh and funky air to the style! The classic pinstripe suit was also revitalized and daringly distorted patchworks and stripes stole the show, giving new meaning to the word ‘clash’. This collection was a great display of Vivienne Westwood’s fearless technique; she is forever pushing boundaries and her A/W”11 collection was undoubtedly a comment on the straight-edged designer.
Ties were placed crookedly, with courage on top of many pieces and leopard prints leapt off of the kooky models that wore them. After a fluttering of coloured feathers and with nearly 70 years of life experience Vivienne Westwood has returned to LFW, bringing Wonderland with her!

Jaeger Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

The London skies turned grey on Saturday afternoon over eager Brits hustling their way to the Jaeger Show A/W”11. However, his exquisite collection thankfully reminded the audience that the British heritage is far more then just clouds and crowds! The style was demure yet outstanding and the distinctly dark choice of colours paid homage to the navies, reds and military greens that make our country what is it!
Elegant and reserved models rained down the runway giving a new take on the winter coat that sported oversized lapels and were to be placed on top of uniquely textured knits. Jaeger’s creations were softened with strokes of yellow and gold that graced their collection with a gentle touch and prevented the dark tones from being too overpowering. The dogstooth and Prince of Wales check prints that have understandably become the brand’s signature provided a gorgeously British display of pattern.
Inspiration for this collection came from, ‘the rich landscapes of the British Empire,’ and this was portrayed excellently by flashes of jewel tones that sparkled against the duskier colours on belts and accessories. As silk blouses fluttered and elegant capes fell perfectly with every step of the models spat and piping detail shoes, Jaeger was consistently classic. This LFW A/W”11 collection not only made us proud to be British, but gave us a reason to smile through the rain!

House of Holland Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

The master of fun, Henry Holland, has once again returned to LFW with a flavor for everyone. His models sauntered to and fro in an array of cool pastels that undoubtedly left everyone craving a Fruitella or two! Those lucky enough to receive his invite that was cheekily printed on a Bingo card were certainly in for a delectable treat. As soon as the first outfit burst onto the runway, spotted with bingo balls and the catchy 60’s tune filled the air both models and audience alike were left bouncing with excitement.
Mr. Holland admitted that the muse for this quirky collection was his Grandma and his tongue in cheek combo of old school tweed and clashing prints, depicted this kooky time warp with pizzazz. Playfully pleated dresses were splashed with iconic faux pearl embellishments and were soon followed by squirts of mustard and beige that added a more savory taste to his collection.  Then came classical wide-legged trousers and in true Holland fashion a sweater depicting the hand-sign for sex, casually worn over a bitterly lemon chiffon dress.
However, the element of surprise was saved for last as knitted blankets covered in crazy and colourful crochet retained the light-hearted humor so familiar to the designer. This mischievous mélange of candy crochet, pick & mix patterned tights and tasteful tweed satisfies the palette of grandma’s and fashion guru’s everywhere. Whoever said the elderly aren’t cool has obviously never been to one of Henry Holland’s bingo nights with his Nan!

Felder Felder Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

Stunning twins Felder and Felder’s LFW A/W”11 collection was any avid rock and rollers dream come true. The sounds of thumping techno filled the air as the audience was plunged into a dark fantasy of grunge and leather! Models stormed the catwalk oozing sexuality in skin-tight leathers pinched at the waist with studded belts that emphasized womanly silhouettes. The palette of blacks and blues kept the atmosphere robust and allowed the models to etch their way down the catwalk in an ink-esque fashion.
Transformation was a key element of the vision and the collection included snippets of metallic skirts and digital print dresses that shone brightly out of the darkness. Crystal embellished biker jackets were teamed with lustfully structured bodices and screamed urban femininity. This aptly named Muse Collection offered a gorgeously gothic alternative to overplayed pastels and neons and indulged fully in the revival of shoulder pads and quirkily placed studs, emphasizing the ressilance of feminine toughness.
With oversized white coats featuring a frou frou fur ball hem and crossed back straps that added an elegant spice to the show, Felder and Felder continued to captivate their audience with this aesthetically pleasing display of grunge glamour. These twins are a living example that two is better then one and this is illustrated perfectly by their bold and kick-ass collection for LFW A/W”11.

Antonio Berardi Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

Floor-length has never looked so wearable then in Antonio Berardi’s  A/W”11 collection! A number of his gorgeous dresses flowed eloquently behind models that were fronted with the immaculate tailoring that separates him from the average and sloppy designer. His rich Sicilian heritage shone through in offbeat reds and lime green metallic dresses, representing the colorful clothing of Sicily with a desirably British twinge. Berardi’s tailoring is worthy of Saville Row approval but still retains that Italian edge. His show began with a number of heavily textured cream pieces that were soon followed by witty monochrome outwear laced with fur and wool.
Sophistication seeped from every pencil skirt that displayed unique geometrical prints and were cut perfectly to fit the model’s picturesque figures. In the words of Olivia Palermo, who was sat eagerly on the front row, his creations were “seriously fierce!” and we would expect nothing less of a designer whose life mentor was the one and only Galliano.  His use of see through laces and lurex was to die for, and his skirts cascaded in ways that volumised entire outfits. This cultural collision of Italian descent and British design left little for the imagination as Berardi’s attention to detail was depicted by the perfect mixing of chiffon and satin in some of his later pieces.
The stiletto Mary Jane heels created height and coupled with his elegant designs left models gliding down the runway in pillars of sultry style. We very much enjoyed this unique designers take on daywear and eveningwear and with an intensity natural to any true Italian, we were left smoldering in our seats!

Sass & Bide Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

The Australian design duo, Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton showered their audience with colour and excitement at LFW 2011 as their A/W”11 collection, “Boogie and the Historymaker,” undoubtedly made history. Far, far away from their monochrome rock and roll circus of last year, models stepped out exuding vibrancy and confidence. It is almost impossible to draw your eyes away from the attention-grabbing electricity of the show, as it pumped through every silk jumpsuit and sexy mini-dress!
Australia’s rich indigenous culture was embodied in the patterns and textures with fierce-faced models pelting down the runway, appearing as “Lady-like Urban Warriors”, which was the inspiration for the piece. This beautiful collision of magenta, coral and fuchsia, tinged with a calming beige was inspiringly printed on draped trousers and flowing separates, providing the perfect base for Sass & Bide’s unique embellishment. Flirty and fun straw-like raffia added to the earthy feel of the collection and found its way onto many dramatic collars and skirts. The clothing falls effortlessly and it is truly amazing to see how what was essentially draped cloth, had been placed with precision and yet still managed to capture the free-spirited nature of indigenous Australian heritage.
This collection has pushed Sass & Bide out of their monochrome comfort zone and into a plethora of colour! We are in full support of this bold move over the rainbow and hope to see more of the same from this dynamic duo in future.

Michael van der Ham - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

Velvet, velvet and more velvet! The reigning champion of fabric collage Michael van der Ham’s A/W”11 collection opened with a breathtaking display of velvet. As the first model calmly stepped onto the runway with a light splash of natural make up and wrapped in pale pink velvet, we were soon aware that this young and magically talented designer had upped the anti!
The previous three years of his remarkable collaged fabrics could not have prepared LFW for this outstanding change in his approach to texture. With eight enchantingly draped velvet dresses that came alive under the lights of LFW in jewel-tones ranging from a piercing red to and electric blue, the element of surprise resounded amongst the audience. This was followed by a collection of sophisticated knitwear, a first in Mr. van der Ham’s repertoire. And in a Jekyll and Hyde moment quirkily fringed trousers shimmied down the runway, this was a very out of character but successful move away from his more traditional designs. Fringing was also spotted on iconic black bags and his choice of large suede platforms provided the finishing touches.
His silk collage dresses of the past were adapted into sexy patchwork that snaked charming across pencil dresses and divided cardigans.  The timeless vintage print that were patched onto clothing coupled with his introduction of almost 3D velvet, proved this Dutch designer is about so much more then collage. His collaboration of texture, colour and design was easy on the eye, wearable and a definite highlight of Day Four.

Acne Show - LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W"11

In a waft of boiler suits and dungarees, Jonny Johansson reminded LFW that being an effortless cool character was still second nature to him. This Swedish sensation crafted his collection with such simplicity that came as a refreshing alternative to the more unconventional designers of the week. Minimalism was expressed through tame shades of indigo and olive and the odd lashing of mustard and black gave the collection an equally subtle element of drama keeping the clothing interesting and eye catching.
Patch-pockets and flirty skirts were a friendly hint that despite their leather jackets making them one pair of aviators short of ultimate coolness, Acne are still respectably not too cool for school! Cropped trousers and tees were also made of touchable leather in cool metallic and cobalt blues and the wedged brogues that enabled models to breeze the catwalk with unreserved swagger will be on every die-hard fashionista’s Christmas list.
However, no review of this show would be complete without congratulating Acne on their amazingly suave collection of coats. From a gorgeously simple, burgundy coat that stretched almost below the models feet, to THE black coat of the season that graced the runway as Johansson’s final masterpiece. It was long, lustrous and belted in the middle in that ever so simple Acne way… The show was a cool, calm and collected displayed of what Sweden has to offer the world of fashion and was an original reminder to LFW A/W”11 that sometimes, less is definitely more.

Inspired by someone I love...

And so she stands. With every gust of wind blown against her, her tired and closing blue eyes fade into fine lines cracked symmetrically on either side of her delicate nose. As hurricanes of the past are conjured by storms of the present, she is left standing in her open space with, “should haves and whys”, whirl winding all around her. A space where her head spins as fast as the coin of fate before it elegantly twirls off the table and onto the floor, revealing to all whether she can head on with her life, or whether this will be another tale to tell with baited breath. But dear friend, even as you stand there in the eye of the storm, this is your coin. And this is your life. Even if regrets whizz around her like a halo of doubt, she’s still standing. With her coin in her pocket and her charisma in her hand, the world is hers for the taking. After the storm comes the calm, and after the calm comes her. Peeling her eyes open she sees the future, and the future sees her back. She may still feel the wind on face, but now feels the sun on heels. And with every ray of sun shining upon her, her eyes glow with ferocious potential and are no long closed to the world ahead.

They stare on, wide and beautifully disillusioned. She will not be defeated and with the sun wafting her forward with its vibrant pulses she’s no longer standing. She’s sprinting forwards towards that future of hers. Every step graces the ground to the beat of her baseline, and she only ever looks back at the stormy land behind, as memory of what she has overcome. With legs pacing onwards, her face is turned to glace one last time over her hurricane. Where the villains of her past are reduced to a whirling blur, and all the “should haves and whys” are bellowing “it’s going to be ok!”. For one second only, she stops. She smiles up at the sunrise, and waves a final goodbye to the storm. Her storm, to remember or forget, with its snarling winds releasing their hold on her. She looks down at ground, and gives a thumbs up at the coin. Her coin, to keep and to cherish, with its cheeky face winking up at her. Time to head on, her future is as bright as the sun that moves her. Now, run towards it and never look back. And if the winds howl at night when the sun sleeps below the horizon, she must take that coin of hers and flip it with all her faith. The life we lead is a futile one, winds push us back as often as the sun lulls us forward. But whichever way the coin lands, whatever the weather, remember, the faces are yours to chose. Engrave them wisely and you will never lose.

Stationary of Horror!

This stationary designed for 13
th Street, the NBC – Universal owned crime and horror channel, is about as gruesome as it comes! As their official stationary, it represents an expected level of gore but remains somewhat tasteful. I don’t think I’d be using it on my coursework but for all you zombie lovers out there it’s an epic homage to all things bloody!

And they have even designed their very own doctor’s prescription pad that reads,

Very legitimate!

Egypt: Unity's back with a vengeance!

January 1st 2011 was celebrated worldwide as a symbol of the New Year, proving an opportunity for new outlooks and new possibilities. However, for the people of Egypt; there was little to celebrate as twenty-one Copt Christians were killed in a brutal and unprovoked bombing on Saints Church, Alexandria. The weary Coptic community were terrified that there would be further terrorist attacks during their Christmas, which like many other Christian sects that fall outside of the Western divide, is celebrated after New Years Day. The events that followed this attack are a truly remarkable example of humanity at its finest…

Throughout Egypt, Muslims came together in the defence of the Copts who account for only 10% of the population. Millions of Egyptians of all races and religions changed their Facebook profile pictures to the image of a cross within a crescent – the symbol of “Egypt for All” and throughout cities banners went up calling for unity. As the Coptic Christmas Eve Mass fell upon Egypt, thousands of Muslims showed up at Coptic Churches nationwide, honoring their call for unity and with the hope of providing a human shield in case of further attacks. With the slogan, “We either live together or we die together” firmly respected, the Muslims and Copts of Egypt stood collectively to fight the threat of Islamic militants. The New Years bombing was the final straw for many Egyptians who feel equally marginalized and oppressed by their Government whose electoral campaign consisted of the clichéd hatrick - vote-rigging, corruption and widespread violence.

This is a valiant movement for the people of Egypt as the triviality of religious indifference has been acknowledged and fought by rising nationalism in the face of terrorism. “We are one. This was an attack on Egypt as a whole.” The growth of both Americanisation and Islamofacism, culminating in our modern day war on terror has provided a sinister reminder of Samuel P Huntington’s theory that the next source of war will be cultural; a clash of civilization. However, in a country often referred to as the cradle of civilization due to its rich history, it is heart warming to see that somewhere in this world of ethnocentric destruction, unity is finally back in fashion!

They see me rollin'... They hatin'

Say hello to Tzvika. About two months ago chaos ensued as this adorable little guy was almost killed in a hit and run lawn mower attack. He was left fighting for her life in Tel Aviv with severe damage to his shell and spine. On January 5th 2011, he was told he would never walk again. However, thanks to hi-tech veterinary science, Tzvika has become the first cyborg turtle. At the Ramat Gan Safari, hope rained down as wheels were attached that would elevate him to prevent shell deterioration and give him the gift of mobility. He now spends his days zooming around, making some dough, puffing on the odd joint and is jumping on the “ first HIV-positive muppet” bandwagon and considering a role as the first ever disabled teenage mutant ninja turtle!
I just like turtles, especially these guys!

AIDS denialism: a Hauntingly Ignorant Vision

South Africa - two words that stand for as many victories as they do injustices. A country that is lost in time, finding itself forever under the rule of one racist leader or another. And as-if the people of South Africa had not suffered enough they are now in the pit of one of the most extreme epidemics of all time. Three letters that do not stand for as many victories as they do injustices – HIV.

There is an average 5.4 million people currently living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa and an estimated 310,000 South Africans have died of AIDS. These numbers are so colossal that they are almost surreal, but this is sadly an inevitable reality created by the Mbeki Monster himself. He spent his nine years in government ruthlessly and ignorantly denying that HIV was a cause of AIDS and brandished the use of Anti-retroviral’s as ineffective and simply an Western tool of the pharmaceutical industry. He then foolishly invited leading AIDS denialists to serve on his “Presidential AIDS Advisory Panel” and under his clichéd tyrannical rule he further denied his people the right to ARVs. This resulted in the death of 300,000 South Africans and the confirmation that Mbeki was an uneducated murderer, who held his disillusioned pride as an anti-Western revolutionist higher than the lives of his very people.

Mbeki casually admitted his belief that AIDS was caused by immune deficiency, but this had nothing to do with this thing the West called HIV. Instead, he promoted alternative treatments such as massage and music therapy, yoga, spiritual care and homeopathy to help strengthen the immune system and rid the body of that pesky AIDS virus. Ignorance is truly the root of all evil and nothing depicts this better then a self-righteous president preaching lies to a scared and unaware public in desperate need of nothing more then the truth. But what could be more terrifying then this untamable wave of denialism? The fact that there are numerous beliefs amongst African men that having sex with a virgin, child or baby can cure HIV/AIDS fueling South Africa’s appalling rate of child exploitation which is one of the highest in the world. A lack of awareness coupled with the fear and stigmatism of the virus has lead to the fictional creation of this sick-fix solution. There are alarmingly high rates of child and baby rapes and an estimated 330,000 under-15’s currently live with HIV. The evil of ignorance has spread from the top down, infecting the minds of the weak and claiming many lives in the process.

However, we must not dwell on the past as South Africa is finally rid of the Mbeki Monster and in his deathly shadow Zuma the Zero has fittingly taken his place. Finally, change, the chance for freedom from this vicious cycle… under the loving wings of a man who was accused of rape and during his trial openly admitted to the court, “that he could not have caught AIDS as he had a shower after having unprotected sex just to be sure.”

When will it end?! Although Jacob Zuma is undoubtedly just as corrupt as his predecessor, 2010 witnessed a well overdue step towards AIDS eradication. From April 15th 2010, everyone attending a clinic or hospital was  offered a HIV test regardless of symptoms. I respect South Africa’s attempt to reduce the HIV incidence rate by 50 percent by June 2011 through various testing and awareness campaigns, however, I feel there is yet again a disregard for one of the most important factors…

ACCESSIBLITY

In order for Zuma to scrape whatever reputation he has left off of the pavements of South Africa, the accessibility of testing and treatment needs to be tackled head on. Currently, only an estimated 37% of infected people are receiving treatment for HIV in South Africa even though the country is home to the largest ARV Therapy programmes in the word. Raising awareness is a great first step, but after the first step must come the second otherwise you are merely walking on the spot, and without accessibility – you can’t walk anywhere!

… However, I must say that I am a fan of Takalani Sesame’s (South African Sesame Street) introduction of KAMI the world’s first HIV-positive Muppet! Kami’s name is derived from kamogelo, which means acceptance of welcome in Zulu, Sesotho and Setswana.

Still unsure of what to make of these rings that represent that HIV virus though…

Muppets vs. Kanye!

While chilling in the office at NUTS, I have stumbled across endless jokes, videos, cartoons that are equally as mind numbing as they are entertaining! However, nothing quite beats this you tube sensation. This Muppets vs. Kanye combo is pure brilliance and I can’t help but watch it and smile as I relive my youth whilst bopping my head like the ganst 101 that I am! This song is not only one of the best on Kanye’s new album but reminds us that although old K.Dubz may at times be an award ceremony ruining, metal-plate cheeked fool, he is still one hell of a force to be reckoned with in the industry! And who better to promote this track then those lovable critters we have come to know as The Muppets. When I was younger, I wanted to be a Muppet so, so bad! I would even dream of what I would look like Muppefied, something along the lines of Kermit the Frog and Pepe the Prawn’s love child! For all those fellow Muppet fans out there, keep a look out for The Muppet’s movie out later this year. Jason Segal has teamed up with many other celebs, including Foo Fighter’s frontman Dave Grohl (who will be the voice of the one and only Animal!) for this nineties throwback. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that Mr. Segal’s epic “Dracula Song” from Forgetting Sarah Marshall is featured! And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the Lord I will slay him! A-ha-ha-haa!
